The plot of the first book revolves around a controversial writer named Mark, who, under strange circumstances, wakes up in an institution for the mentally ill and falls under the attention of a powerful pharmaceutical corporation.  She has gathered the best specialists under one roof and is testing her new Clean Path program, aimed at combating the eternal problems and addictions of mankind, which have gone hand in hand throughout history, including drug addiction.  Once alone with himself, Mark begins to suspect that something is wrong here, and the more time he spends there, the more questions remain about the actions of a soulless machine, where every mechanism is debugged, supposedly “For the benefit of man”,  but in fact it raises doubts and anxiety, because his dissent is suppressed and his thoughts are also suppressed by special drugs.Corruption rules within the walls of the organization.  The officers of the "Clean Path" are corrupt and pursue their own interests.  Solving the problem on their part is a matter of price, and the protagonist, sitting opposite the psychotherapist and her assistant, named the Flying Dutchman, is not sure that they really want to help him, but simply play a role for their own interests.  Especially when they begin to impose their rules of the game on him and insistently suggest: put aside moral dilemmas and give them the opportunity to dig the root of all evil, and go through this difficult path of change, together with professionals to finally get to the truth.  Under the pretext of helping, the patient decides to tell them how he and his friends are moving to a metropolis, and its enormous opportunities open doors for our heroes, and after time and life experience gained, they begin to suspect that the glossy cover has a rotten filling, makes them dizzy and  gradually sucks into the very epicenter of nightlife and social life, where endless parties, affordable women, substances and other dirt are an endless

vicious circle, behind which there are consequences, and someone always has to pay their bills.
