Richard Del Connor hopes this 12 Laws of Life book will do more than offer verbal comfort to the confusions of youth struggling to mature into society.  Richard has been teaching Shaolin Kung Fu and Yang Tai Chi Chuan since 1984 to elementary school students, teenagers, young adults, and also offering senior programs since 1993 in several YMCA programs.  His Shaolin Chi Mantis and Tai Chi Youth program results included raising public school grades, overcoming obesity and drug addictions and improving family and job relationships.

Richard Del Connor was certified as a Chinese Jing Mo Shaolin Kung Fu master, or "Shifu" in Chinese by Grandmaster Wong Jack Man (who is depicted in many movies fighting Bruce Lee).   In 1994 the Utah Asian Association had been referring to him as an, "Honorary Chinese Citizen," and gave him the Chinese name, Shen-Lang Zhen, "Spirit Wolf of Truth."

Richard, "Buddha Zhen,”  became famous for teaching his Shaolin Chi Mantis traditional Shaolin Kung Fu in a maximum security youth prison where his student improvements were so substantial he was heralded by the Utah State Governor and put on salary.  This fame of rehabilitating convicts led to teaching in other prisons and youth rehabilitation centers with great successes.
