• Explain the importance of ethical behavior when counseling families, couples, and children.
• Select one of the following groups: families, children, or couples. Describe an ethical scenario or dilemma a counselor could encounter when working with the selected group. 
• Explain some ethical policies and procedures a counselor should apply in the scenario.
• Support your response by citing applicable ethical guidelines from one of the following resources: 
• American Counseling Association (ACA)
• International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors (IAMFC)
• American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT)
• National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC)
• Conduct an internet search for state statutes/legal codes for counselors in your state or a state in which you would like to work. Describe the statues/legal codes that apply to the scenario you selected.
