Week 1 Discussion Thread: Chapter 4 Data Analysis and Results - Part I

As you begin writing/re-writing Chapter 4, you will be sharing a shortened version of the sections of the proposal to gain peer-to-peer feedback in the discussion forum. Using the "DPI Project Manuscript Template" from the DC Network, address each area in Chapter 4 with at least five concise sentences. Spelling and grammar will be reviewed and graded. Note: When you write the Final Manuscript, adhere to the Final Manuscript Paper requirements. Review the purpose and formatting of Chapter 4 in the "DPI Project Manuscript Template" and using the DPI Project Guide.

  1. Descriptive Data – Describe the population and the sample used in the project.
  2. Provide a narrative summary of the population or sample characteristics and demographics of the participants in the project. In the post, establish the number of subjects, gender, age, level (if appropriate), organization, or setting (if appropriate).
  3. Upload an example graph or table you may use.
  4. Data Analysis Procedure -Present a description of the process to analyze the data collected in your project.
  5. Using the clinical questions that guide the project, identify how the data analysis procedures could be framed relative to each clinical question.
  6. Data can be organized by group or by variable. Indicate in your response whether you are collecting data from independent groups of patients/data or whether you are collecting data from within a paired sample of patients or data.
