Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words: 

In Week 2, you learned about federal (and state) air and water regulation. In Week 3, you will continue to focus on specific areas of regulation with an exploration of law relating to the management of toxic substances, and solid and hazardous waste.   

As identified in the textbook, what are the two main federal statutes that regulate the use of toxic substances? What are the methods used to comply with these laws? Has the Toxic Substances Control Act been amended in recent years—as envisioned by the textbook author? If so, how has the law been changed?
