In Wk 1, we introduce the principles of toxicology and pharmacokinetics and differentiate between acute and chronic toxicity. We also explain dose-response relationships and how environmental risk analysis is conducted. Consider the readings and activities you have completed this week.

Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words: 

What is the difference between the source and dose of a contaminant? Is there any correlation between the two? Why or why not?  How does acute toxicity versus chronic toxicity relate to this?
