For becoming a good motivational speaker, one must be very well prepared in a certain domain. This is the basic condition for a person to be able to do an activity such as motivational speaking. Also, a motivational speaker must have a vast and thorough knowledge of the human psychology, so as to be able to address any type of audience, and especially to make himself understood by everyone listening to his speeches.

"There is a lot of work to be done for becoming a motivational speaker, so as to motivate others" says John Rogan of MotivationalSpeakerz.com. "You must have the power of being motivated yourself and convinced by what you are stating." The information that you must posses for becoming a good motivational speaker must be exact and taken from reliable sources. So, the work that must be done for becoming a good motivational speaker is not easy to accomplish. However, the satisfactions are major, both in the professional and in the personal life.

There are many women working as motivational speakers and their presence as trainers can only thrill the public who listens to their speeches. A woman usually has a more sentimental style of describing and illustrating than the men. Women who work as motivational speakers are specialists in their domain. There are also women who hold speeches and trainings in the field of sports motivational speaking.

Some examples of women who keep the attention of audience for hours on end are Wanda Turner, who holds extremely good speeches in the field of business and economy, Lizzie Velasquez who preaches against violence of any kind and who has the unique style of speaking subjectively and from the heart, and many other women motivational speakers who are as good and as many as men are in the field of motivation speaking.

These competent women have vast experience in their field and also a great general knowledge, hold speeches in their field of specialization. They do this so well that their audience are captivated by the very first ides that they present. There are many ways in which one can find a woman motivational speaker. One of the ways is accessing one of the numerous and common databases on the internet that present all the women who are well prepared to give a speech, depending on their areas of expertise. These women also give advice to those desirous of becoming a good motivational speaker. The overall theme of their advice for becoming a good motivational speaker is that one should study hard and be very well prepared in order to hold speeches. You must also be one of the specialists in your domain.

On the other hand, you have people such as Tony Robbins who never studied for this role. He in fact is self taught and learned while doing how to give inspirational speeches on stage and has done so for the last 30 years. I do not completely discount every form of self-help technique, but do find most of them very overrated when targeted at people in general. For example, take 'affirmations'. As I understand it, affirmations are supposed to work as a well-meaning and benign way of conditioning a person with positive ideas and thereby, over time, create a change in mindset which can then result in a more positive outlook and potentially even a life-changing way of going about one's daily business.

However, every case known to me of 'real' motivation with the goal to change the personality (of prisoners of war etc.) radically - which I actually do see a real potential from - is done in a very different setting. You're isolated from your usual surroundings, you can't leave, and you're bombarded with the new programming very often.

Not so with techniques like positive affirmations, whose effects in comparison have to be almost negligible, as you're only exposed to the personality changing information when you choose to. Moreover, most (if not all) affirmations depend on such an airy concept as 'the unconscious'. Let's face it, scientists (especially the 'soft' kind such as psychologists) do not have a firm understanding of how the brain works, or how personality evolves and works. For that reason I'm amazed at how well the self-help genre apparently sells. On the one hand it is very understandable, as people naturally would want to better themselves to some degree, but on the other hand our general lack of understanding of ourselves as a species makes the diverse claims of the self-help market look very hyped-up.
