Adolescent boys - they seem to disappear into another world where they barely communicate, and where fast cars, alcohol and drugs are constant temptations. Will they survive to become good men? How can parents and schools understand and help them through this difficult and dangerous time?

Celia Lashlie has some of the answers. After years of working in the prison service she knows what can happen when boys make the wrong choices. She also knows what it's like to be a parent -  she raised a son on her own and feared for his survival. During the Good Man Project, she talked to 180 classes of boys throughout New Zealand and what she found was surprising, amusing and in some cases, frightening. She has continued to be involved with many more schools in New Zealand and Australia on this work.

This is a recording of one of the hundreds of speaking engagements that Celia has given in New Zealand and Australia based on her international bestselling book, He'll be OK: Growing gorgeous boys into Good Men.

Her talks leave her audiences encouraged, inspired, empowered and hopeful, and many people had asked for a way to engage with the content of her talk after she had left. This recording is Celia's answer to that, recorded in front of a live audience in Nelson, New Zealand on 1 November 2007, the day her own gorgeous grandson Ted was born.

Celia passed away in February 2015, so this recording is even more special.
