Your group project report part 1 – Project Analysis needs to be submitted with a cover page, electronically through Blackboard on or before the due date. Be sure to include the names of all group members. Description: In this phase of the semester project, we will focus on getting started with a team of 3 – 4 students towards the development of a formal report addressing the needs of a particular area (Objective 1). This will be from the perspective of a startup company proposing technological solutions for your target area’s problems. Once your team is established, choose a particular area within the Baltimore Metropolitan area and identify several major persistent issues within that area in which a technological solution could help substantially alleviate such issues. Your team will also need to act as a business that will propose creative and transformative solutions. Once your team, area, and issues have been identified, your group will need to submit the following information in the form of a report. I would strongly encourage that each point contain substantial detail, explanation and support. This document will serve as a basis for later parts of the semester project and other assignments. As discussed during the research class lesson (Objective 2), information should conform to APA style. If you are unsure of the correct APA citation style, please refer to the Cook Library citing sources page, or visit your section of the course gateway page provided by the reference librarian. Your resources should come from a variety of domains, as all the topics of the group research paper should include social, cultural, economic and technical perspectives (Objective 3). Your list of sources should primarily consist of peer-reviewed scholarly articles, current data and statistics. Please refer to the library session notes for a list of the types of sources. Each resource will substantiate the arguments you wish to include in your group research paper, following the sample outline below. It is essential that your information for this phase of the project is well supported, logical and compelling based on the problem areas you have identified (Objective 4). The sample outline below is just one of many outline possibilities of how to summarize the report but at least should include the following information. It is up to the group how to present the information, but all points must be addressed. During each phase of the semester project we will be correcting, updating and expanding the document moving forward to the final product that will be due at the end of the semester which the group will present to the class.
