Changing Rates of Cancer Incidence and Death Throughout History - The best way to prevent or correct a problem is to completely understand the mechanism of that problem's creation. Cancer is the most frightening of the spectrum of chronic diseases that cause high numbers of injury and death in the modern world. It wasn't always so. Today we examine the history of cancer from ancient times up to this year and the decades ahead. Our examination covers ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome, the early industrial age and the 19th through 21st Centuries. We examine a number of scientific theories about the epidemiology of cancer as well as the huge amount of money poured into cancer research. What we do know is that hundreds of billions of such research funding has not alleviated the problem although modern medicine does claim that those diagnosed with cancer are surviving longer. Our view is outside of the rigid box of common understanding, and rightly so. We discuss the faults of the current means of dealing with this diagnosis including serious problems with testing methods and remedies. We focus mostly on preventing cancer. (LIBMP3-3998)
