Who's Afraid of the Future, The Need for High Literacy in Future Studies - As one looks through social media, listens to talk radio, or monitors thoughts shared in public gatherings, you might conclude that a large segment of the population is afraid of being hurt by the world and afraid of the future. Fear is fed by ignorance and in an age where literacy is retreating on such a broad scale it seems only logical that we could overcome our fears by radically increasing literacy. As I go to publish my 33rd book FUTURENOMIC$, I share the large stack of books which have captured my attention in the 3-4 months that it took to author this book. These books focus on economic development, emerging nations' policies, global economics, financial literacy and a host of relative topics. For myself, reading is fundamental to being able to function in the world today as well as that of tomorrow. We do everything we can in today's broadcast to connect the dots between the past, present, and the future. The conversation is engaging and calls today are inspiring indeed. (LIBMP3-3972)
