Description
The Economics of Climate Change - In the immediate aftermath of another attempt to create an international strategic plan to combat the trend of global warming, we examine this situation from various angles. First the wealthy countries are tasked with the mission to provide investment capital to developing nations toward creating non-polluting energy and industrial infrastructure. They cannot be trusted. We look at the link between shrinking Lake Chad and the regional conflicts in four west African states. Then we bring a spectrum of solutions including anti-dessertification efforts, waste management, renewable energy and using biodegradable materials for more commonly used products. We access a series of reports from various NGO agencies that detail the monetary impact of climate change and how this creates an untenable situation that is within our power to be able to correct.
