BadboE is back on BBP with another fresh and funky EP, as the first of a series of nu-funk releases to come in 2009. This time he has teamed up with some of the biggest talents in the nu-funk scene: Quincy Joints, Funkanomics and Mash and Munkee: and the result is 5 state of the art funk bombs for the dancefloors. Following BadboE's successful Good Groove Recordings 12" - the funky b-boy joints and groovy uptempo funk jams continues on this release.
A. BadboE kicks off the EP with his signature type of b-boy funky breaks on the joint called What You Wanna Do. BadboE seriously slams the breaks on an old soul track leaving you no choice but to nod your heads and get down to the funk!
B. Mash & Munkee rocks on with a groovy and jazzy nu funk remix of What you Wanna Do. This is another great achievement by the German duo who just released their debut EP on Backslide records last year! Look out for these guys - they sure got an ear for the funky breaks!
C. Funkanomics speeds up things with his progressive tech-funk remix of What you Wanna Do. The heavy bassline and funky grooves makes this a great alternative to the other mixes. Funkanomics is signed on Cut La Roc's label - Rocstar Recordings.
D. On the flipside BadboE takes us straight to the dancefloor with the fresh uptempo title tune: Funkaholic. This groovy track follows in footsteps of the Dynamite tune that was release on Auditory Designs last year.
E. The nu-funk master Quincy Joints is delivering the final track on EP - the straight-rocking funky remix of Funkaholic. With a crisp funky beat and a groovy bassline this track should fit perfectly in any funky djset.
