One of a set of Minuets composed for a specific occasion, but then printed for use by the general public: "The favourite minuets perform'd at the Fete Champetre given by Lord Stanley at the Oaks". Lord Stanley (later the 12th Earl of Derby) gave the party at his Carshalton estate in 1774.

To accompany a dance, the entire formula should be played through four times.
