Rabbit Ears: Dragnet - The Teddy Bear Invasion

Dan decides to play hooky from work to do a police ride along.   What police officers would allow such a thing?  None other than Sgt. Friday and Officer Gannon!   Meanwhile, back at the shop, the gang watch 3 episodes of the classic television show Dragnet.

The Big Betty

Who is Betty?  And why is she so overweight?  Well, you might be surprised to learn that this episode has nothing to do with obesity.  Also, it has nothing to do with anyone named Betty.  Seriously.  Why does this kind of thing keep happening?   Sgt. Friday is tracking down a ruthless gang who sell watches to people.  Yup.  That's the plot.  He also shows his incredible interrogation techniques by making phone calls in front of the prisoners until they crack!

The Big Seventeen

Time for the sequel to Reefer Madness!  Well...not officially.  Friday investigates a bunch of teenagers who start a riot at a local movie theater.  At first, we thought it was just because the theater was playing "Murder on Flight 502," but we were wrong!  What caused all the rioting?  Marijuana!  Obviously, because mariuana causes people to be violent and hyper.  This episode also explains what Friday eats for lunch....a hot dog and a glass of milk!

The Big Break

Friday is after a violent fugitive with a nack for breaking out of prison.  The episode starts right in the thick of things with a violent gun battle....then sort of peters off into a discussion of whether or not Frank will buy a sandwhich for lunch or not.   After thinking about it, we decided that the convict wouldn't be so adept at escaping prison if Friday didn't loan him money as he was escaping.   No.  Seriously.  That happened in this one.  We couldn't make that up if we tried.

Demand to hear "Just the facts!"  Grab some hot dogs, some milk and anything else you might have purchased (depending on which state you live in)!  It's time for another wild ride with Sgt. Friday!
