The Gospel of Luke is one of the most beautiful books in the New Testament. St. Luke, who was influenced by St. Paul, tells us how he meticulously worked to give an accurate account about Jesus of Nazareth. He not only presents true history he also writes in a masterful literary style that presents many important themes of our faith: Christ's fulfilling all scripture, ministry to the poor, the presence of women in the ministry of Jesus, the movement of the Holy Spirit, and the role of the Virgin Mary in salvation.
