The Body of Christ

Jesus said in John 14:12, when speaking of the believer: "the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father."

What did Jesus mean when He said: "Because I go to My Father"?  Why is this important?  The answer to this question sheds light on why the church is called "The Body of Christ!"
