Double Feature: Waltz Series 1 and Let's Talk Dance by Anthony Lee
Length: 115 minutes
Instructors: Anthony Lee
This contains two videos: Waltz Series 1 and Let’s Talk Dance. Country-western dance champion Anthony Lee shows a boatload of waltz patterns on Waltz Series 1. Though developed for country-western dancers, this video contains great figures for all social dancers and for competitors in American style waltz. It starts with the basic step and with a discussion of rise and fall, but it quickly moves on to show really cool waltz combinations. Waltz Series 1 is about 58 minutes long and it contains many more patterns than most instructional videos. Anthony Lee is currently a masters-level competition judge. Please note: Though this video begins with the basic step it is fast-paced and not recommended for beginners.
The second video, Let’s Talk Dance, is like getting a really great private dance lesson that covers many “universal dance principles” and techniques. It covers turn technique, balance, frame, connection, timing, and many other really important subject areas. In most private lessons, only a few important points are developed. In this lesson, Anthony and his partner pack a lot of material into a well-organized presentation. Check out the package deal that includes the beginner waltz video!
