Peaceful Mind Heian Kata Bunkai book

In this book "Peaceful Mind" John Burke sensei takes us through the Heian kata (Heian Shodan, Heian Nidan, Heian Sandan, Heian Yondan, and Heian Godan).  There are notes on the history, but the biggest part of the book is about the practical applications that the forms contain.

While the kata themselves were created for PE for school children, the moves in the kata were taken from the older, fighting kata, of Okinawa.  Here we get to see how those moves are used for joint-locks, throws, and strikes to anatomically vulnerable locations.

The book is released here in a .pdf format, meaning that pictures relate to the pages that they should be on rather than the epub format which might not keep the correlation.
