About the Author
Prior to getting into trouble, the author was a former management consultant who became a serial entrepreneur. He founded several companies and took two public. He then worked as a "merchant banker" who funded a half dozen small companies that became publicly traded. He also has two patents, has authored three technical books, and has hundreds of published articles to his credit.

In his previous life, he has been profiled in Business Week and has appeared on CNN, CNBC and other financial TV channels. Earlier in his career, he was, well-known columnist for a leading computer magazine and the recipient of many technical awards.

In 2006, he was arrested and charged with one count of conspiracy to commit broker fraud. He pleaded guilty and served 9 months in a minimum-security prison camp.
