These earrings combine hemimorphite stone beads, tiny dark green metallic hex beads, and Aurum 2X Swaroski crystals for a sophisticated look. Combining stones, crystal, and high-quality seed beads creates a blended design. Hemimorphite is a zinc silicate, and the stone was named hemimorphite because of the hemimorph development of its crystals. This unusual form, which is typical of only a few minerals, means that the crystals are terminated by dissimilar faces. Metaphysical healers know this stone as one that assists in self transformation, personal evolution, and maintaining and/or regaining health.
The beaded beads in these earrings also use 4 mm Aurum Swaroski crystals. The tiny hex beads are high-quality Miyuki 15/0 seed beads with a green metallic finish. Along with the stone beads, these different sized beads are woven together using 6 lb. test crystal Fireline, a beading thread known for its durablity and strength. Once the beaded beads were created, I hung them on 20 gauge 14 kt gold-filled wires. The ball and post earring finding is also 14 kt gold-filled. Earrings measure 1 3/4" from the top of the ball and post finding to the bottom of the 8 mm Swarovski crystal. The earrings are lightweight enough to be worn all day and all night without taxing you.
