Congratulations on your big news a little gift from heaven is on its way to you! A new baby in the house is such a joy. You may be feeling a little bit stressed right now, trying to get everything in your home just perfect for your new baby's arrival. Many mothers experience this phenomena. It's called "Nesting."
Nesting, as defined by Pregnancy Weekly, is "an uncontrollable urge to clean one's house brought on by a desire to prepare a nest for the new baby, to tie up loose ends of old projects and to organize your world."
One of the biggest projects on your plate is preparing the baby's room for his or her arrival. When I was pregnant, I was unable to sleep at night, my mind racing with ideas for the nursery. I wanted it to be spectacular a welcoming, cozy place in which my baby would feel warm, safe, and happy. During my waking hours, I would search the internet looking for nursery decorating ideas. I went from store to store, overwhelmed by all the themes, accessories, and necessities.
If you are experiencing Nesting, you know what I'm talking about! It's a mother's instinct to make everything "just so" for her new baby.
 Since this was my first child, I quickly became intimidated by all the choices. I mean, I was on a budget, and had to make the most beautiful and still functional baby room in the whole world! But I didn't know where to start, what was essential, and all the deals available to me.
Of course, you cannot stop Mother Nature and I knew the baby would be here soon! I had to make the right choices for my baby's room, and quick!
Thankfully, I was able to create a beautiful and inviting space for my new baby boy. But, it took me all those hours and days of shopping, deciding, and finally, decorating to get there. After we came home from the hospital, he and I spent hours in his room most of them late night. So many activities take place in a baby's room, not just sleeping! Your baby needs to be fed there, diapered, and entertained. Your baby will be on the move quicker than you think, so you also have to make the room a safe one, too.
 I must admit, I have learned a great deal from my experience of decorating my baby's room. Since then, my friends and family have asked me to help them decorate their baby's rooms. I've become the "resident expert" on all the themes, choices, and necessities for a new baby's room!
When I was pregnant, I just wanted all the ideas and options laid out for me in one place. I didn't want to search all over the globe for the right answers and information.
