Tapestry Of Heartaches is one of my favorite all-time songs that I've written. I wrote it with my good friend and co-producer Lonnie Wilson, an amazing talent. He played drums on all my albums, on a zillion others that you're familiar with. He’s a great singer, songwriter, musician, studio engineer and friend. We were on a roll during the time that we wrote this song. We had many songs recorded either by me or other artists. I just remember seeing in my mind the process of someone making a big tapestry of a Mexican fighting bull. We had one of those on our wall when I was a kid. I was always intrigued about the fact that a bunch of individual threads could be made into a picture. We then incorporated those thoughts into a relationship and wrote this song.
