Speed Painting Lesson No.5
Sunset at The Billabong
Paint this in oil or acrylic - step by step.
A sunset in the Australian desert. Here we approach the sky in a diffrent way, working from the bright glow at the bottom towads the darker night sky above us, this way we learn to blend the wet paint without letting things get muddy. The low horizon and chunky bolders in the forground gives us the perspective needed to show a feeling of the vast distances in the desert.
Blue and silver foliage is one of the beautiful features of the wild flowers. The boys on the rock tell the story of waiting for the birds to land as night approaches. Ah ha the evening meal is on its way. (I sometimes wish I was with them again)
