Latin and English. Underwood, the brother-in-law of Mr Hamilton, famous for his Hamiltonian interlinear Latin readers, penned a wonderful Latin Course, aimed at the non-specialist student. It was still necessary in the mid 1800s to pass the Latin examination at Apothecaries' Hall. This course has stood the test of time - it is brief and clearly written - and will still admirably prepare a student for medical studies, or pharmacy, and will expand the vocabulary of even serious students of the language. Now re-issued as a complete Latin stand-alone audio course by Latinum. -
