MOTÖRHEAD March Ör Die (1992) (WTG RECORDS) (11 TRACKS) 320 Kbps MP3 ALBUM

March Ör Die (1992) (WTG RECORDS) (11 TRACKS)
Motörhead

Album Description:

MARCH ÖR DIE is the tenth album by the British band Motörhead. It was recorded and released in 1992. As with another legendary hard rock act, AC/DC, when Motörhead issue a new release you know what to expect. The classic buzzsaw Motörhead sound remains intact, highlights being Ozzy Osbourne-led ballad "I Ain''t No Nice Guy," a spirited cover of Ted Nugent''s "Cat Scratch Fever," and "Name in Vain." MARCH ÖR DIE would be the last Motörhead album to be issued by a major label - the group subsequently jumped to an independent to regain complete control of their musical direction.

Recorded at Music Grinder Studios, Los Angeles, three drummers participated in the making of this album: Phil Taylor, who was fired after "I Ain''t No Nice Guy" was recorded (because he didn''t learn his drum tracks), Tommy Aldridge who recorded most of the material on this album on a sessional basis only, and Mikkey Dee, who recorded the "Hellraiser" single (the song was originally co-written by Lemmy for Ozzy Osbourne''s NO MORE TEARS album.) The album was produced by Peter Solley with the exception of "Hellraiser" which was produced by Billy Sherwood, and used in the 1992 movie HELLRAISER III: HELL ON EARTH. The song "You Better Run" was re-recorded in 2004 as "You Better Swim" for the SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS MOVIE. Motörhead''s previous outing, 1916, received critical raves but didn''t fulfill the record company''s dreams of finally breaking the band into the big time stateside. Hence, several tactics were employed here in a last ditch effort to push Motörhead over the top - most obviously the appearance of notable musical guests such as Ozzy Osbourne and Slash from Guns N'' Roses. Lemmy has claimed that this album would have been a hit, had the record company given proper distribution of the "I Ain''t No Nice Guy" video clip.
