" Vienna is Different" - that is the official motto of this city on the beautiful blue Danube. And each time, it confirms this to visitors from around the world, even to those who arrive from far away and may not know anything about the famous branch of the Hapsburg dynasty that made Vienna the renowned center of an entire multinational empire between 1526 and 1918.
About 1.5 million inhabitants of the entire country of Austria live in Vienna, a city where many of the affairs of this world are taken with a degree of levity.
For our brief stopover in Vienna we have chosen the places that should not be missed by any tourist. The extensive complex of buildings constituting Hofburg, one part of which is the seat of the President, bears the architectural features of six centuries. The High Baroque style of the National Library, the Imperial suites, but also the Lipizzaner stallions of the Spanish Riding School are among its greatest attractions.
The extensive royal castle of Schonbrunn with its exquisite interiors dominated by the Rococo - style festive hall is not merely a tourist attraction, but with its huge park, including a botanical garden, it has become a place of relaxation for Vienna residents.
