Fishing for Tench
The Tench has a special appeal to probably the majority of today''s anglers as it''s a species on which many have cut their teeth. Unfairly sometimes called the ''Tench'' otherwise also known as ''bars of soap'' this unmistakable character is a favorite of all those who come into contact with it. Its greeny bronze coloring, bright orange eyes, massive paddles and slippery coating are all recognizable characteristics of this handsome fish. Capable of growing to a size in excess of 15 lb, these powerful fish have become a reliable target species, not only for the occasional fisherman, but also the match angler. In this program we''re going to try and ''come to grips'' with this species by placing our confidence in the hands of specialist angler David Maddocks.
He''ll be joined by his brother angling legend Kevin of carp and cat fame and to finish we''ll catch up with four times World Coarse Angling Champion Bob Nudd MBE on a cracking little water... with a waggler.
