The Indian cave, Cueva Del Indio, was first discovered in 1920. Mysterious paths and passages lead deeper into the mountain via several large rooms and halls. Many Pre-Columbian artifacts and bones that date back to 4000 B.C. were found in this magnificent system of caves.
The impressive slopes of the Alturas De Pizarras are one of the oldest geological formations in Cuba and high protective mountains surround the picturesque Viñales Valley and contribute to the mysterious, timeless atmosphere of this region.
