I felt very honoured to be asked by my good friend Harry Walton to be involved in a project to record a batch of my compositions in the Summer of 2007 and I was delighted with the outcome of the session. As a result of this I approached Harry to suggest a further collaboration and was pleased that he and his fine quintet were happy to participate. The present CD contains highlights from the two sessions. A few explanatory notes on the tunes ed appear below.
