The Dawg who saved Christmas
The story of two brothers, Randy and Jay, who are killed and go to Heaven where they meet God who returns them both to earth as Dawg Eyes (a collie dog) and Chipper (a parrot) to not only help the local police apprehend their murderer but also to save the town's Christmas.
As if painted by the magical strokes of an artist's brush, the pale-blue backdrop was highlighted with the billowing translucencies that humans have come to know as clouds.
Randy raised his head. His eyes rested upon the blurred figure seated in a chair of royal splendor.
"Where in the devil-" Before he could utter another word, he flinched with immediate agony after biting his tongue.
A booming voice filled the silent void as the pain slowly faded.
"Welcome to the Kingdom of Heaven, Randall Morris Benson."
