A dying man on his deathbead calls for a priest. This priest has known the dying man for years. The dying man converses with the priest about spiritual things like the nature of the soul, sin, forgiveness and so on. The priest begins to suspect that something isn’t right with the dying man. The dying man begs to have sacramental “Last Rights” given to him so he can get into heaven. The priest wonders why his friend is asking so many questions.
