Levels of Connectedness of the Psyche

In the natural and cultural-historical perspective of the previous chapter, we formed a hierarchical model of the distinctive human traits, identifying the centred, decentred, and individuated layers within us. The relationship between these layers — their internal hierarchical order — was described in terms of organization and constitution, with the upper layers organizing, and at the same time being constituted by, the layers further down.
