Autumn Flavours poetry book pdf download by The Hippy Coyote
Autumn Flavours is the first poetry book written by The Hippy Coyote of American Zen. One of 4 books, detailing Coyote's hypothesis that life exists in "seasons of years," rather than just years.
Autumn Flavours is Coyote's earliest poetry. Some dark and moody poems with bizarre themes ranging from cannibalism to devil worship. One poem was written the day after an LSD trip in 1968. His teacher gave him an "A+" grade for the poem.
Coyote dated a witch in the early seventies who really messed with his head "Her brother was a Carpenter Apprentice in my Union Brotherhood classes. He strongly warned me not to date her."
Coyote emerged from the mud of this adolescent phase of his life, into the next book of poetry, Winter Flowers. Spring Fevers, and Summer Forevers followed over the next decade. Richard Del Connor became "The Coyote," after completing the Summer Forevers poetry book which completed his original goal of four seasons of poetry books.
Written in the early 1970s, Coyote's troubled youth is exorcised here in a poetic vicariousness.
Murderous headlines of the times, suicide, revenge, and cannibalism are poems here in Autumn Flavours, where all things good and bad, dissolve... to be born again.
It's not ALL dark, and gloomy. Is it?
