Changing Views of Property and its Redistribution in Post-colonial Maori Society

this paper an attempt will be made to clarify the complex nature of the
dispute through a focus on the systemic nature of property
as a 'bundle of rights'. Property rights are understood as a
multidimensional web of linkages between categorical and concretised
property relationships, each with a specific position in equally
complex property practices. The
practice of property has furthermore changed under the impact of
colonialism and is therefore different in past and present.
