This 33 minute practice begins with simple beltwork to open the shoulders, and includes a balance, a head stand for those whom this is appropriate, and cows head pose.
It is a short, energizing workout that can be very invigorating after a long day at the desk.  James Jewell guides you through a sequence of movements that free the shoulders and warm the upper back, open the hips, and change your perspective.
Although this is not a strenuous practice, unlike other practices on this side, this practice is NOT appropriate for newcomers to yoga. If you have not previously done headstands, please do not try them while listening to the CD. Considerable caution is in order to avoid injury to the neck, and overstrain of the heart or lower back. Please do not attempt a headstand without proper instruction.
