When Bel Bows and Nebo Stoops
Taken from Isaiah 46, Bel and Nebo are Babylonian deities worshipped by God’s people. To God, they are idols – false idols – that His children are looking to for help and provision. To the church today, this is an analogy for our lives now. While we may not call them idols, many in the church do rely on things made with their own hands to save them, all the while claiming a trusting belief in Jesus.
The message addresses questions like:
Ask yourself this – Why are things not going well for you? How many of you are living victoriously in every area of your life? What keeps holding you back?
Followed by this admonition: Get alone with God. Stop and pray for a moment. Ask God, “Why God, why do I continue to struggle? What is the issue?” The first thing that you see in your minds eye is probably a good indicator of what is truly limiting your progress in Christ and you overall satisfaction with life.
Proverbs 3:13 says, “Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and gains understanding.” Understanding is the ability to identify the cause of the problem. Wisdom is the ability to solve the problem. Now, ask God to show you how the thief got in. As Proverbs 6:31 states, when the thief is found and exposed, he must return what was stolen. If you or someone you know is struggling with an area of life that continues to rob and steal from you, then this message is for you.
Well supported with bible verses, interspersed with real life stories, and bathed in the anointing of the Holy Spirit, this message will open your eyes to truths you may have missed, and help you to get delivered once and for all.
