This December 2, 2015 edition of the Whitehall Ledger feature stories such as, a new store opening in the Jefferson Valley just in time for Christmas. Moose Crossing Sweets and Gifts owned by Kip and Dawn Huckaba will feature a “Made in Montana” section, sugar free candies, wood carvings made by Kip and a seasonal wall for holidays. They will also offer drinks such as espresso and bubble tea, as well as Glacier Ice Cream. In other news, the Whitehall School Board of Trustees approved last night to send a letter to the Jefferson County Commissioners in reference to Hard Rock Trust Reserve Accounts.The letter states the Board is in agreement with the two Whitehall districts and the Cardwell district equally splitting the nearly $750,000 they will receive from the county due to the reduction in force at the Golden Sunlight Mine. Also featured is this years Christmas stroll section, it will be a jam-packed day with a Christmas Market, youth activities, chili dinner, live Nativity, visit from Santa, hayrides, fine arts show, tree lighting and caroling . It will conclude with the annual wreath auction. What a great way to get into the holiday spirit. The wide-variety of events means there is something to do for everyone.
