In the second volume (2007) of "The Soul of Educational Leadership," Omotani in his article "Out-of the Box Leadership, suggests that pressures of work and other responsibilities do not permit some parents to be present for special activities and other experiences of their student(s). Omotani states "out of the box leaders take the time and effort to ensure that each child has a caring adult present to applaud, cheer, listen, and encourage during these special times" (p. 48). Is this plausible? Why or why not?
