Letter to the Hebrews
The Letter to the Hebrews is a unique letter among the Epistles in the New Testament. Some who have studied it refer to it more like a homily than a letter. It targets Hebrew Christians a few years before the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple. The author reminds the believer how Jesus is greater than the other mediators in the old covenant; in fact those old types prefigure the coming of the Messiah, which Jesus Christ fulfills as Priest-King of the New covenant. Fr. Michael Sears unpacks this wonderful book of the New Testament.
