Description / Objective / Linked materials
While this seems a traditional regional geography study of a country the aspects chosen are to introduce and practice geographical skills with maps, cross section diagrams and graphs. The students are challenged to consider for the first time the problems of development. I have used parts of this mini study of Kenya as a fifteen minute starter before looking at how countries are shown in holiday brochures then getting the students to make a little country factfile called What to know about Kenya. Use with the Kenya Differentiated Homework sheet. Assess learning and understanding using the Revise and Test presentations included.
3 lesson units – natural features, people and resources.
