Description / Objective / Linked materials
Climate uses lots of really useful maps and animated diagrams to explain factors influencing climate. How many students understand the difference between weather and climate? I have also used just the Britain’s climate section as part of an introduction to the physical Geography of the UK. Use the climate maps and descriptions to do a climate mapping exercise. There are several Differentiated Homeworks to compliment this presentation including Climate graphs, Rain shadow, Grasslands Climate and UK temperatures. Assess learning and understanding using the Revise and Test presentations included.
2 lesson units – climate factors, Britain’s climate and Climate types
