Description / Objective / Linked materials
Linked to the climate presentation this presentation looks in more detail at a single environment type resulting from a particular climate. The presentation uses very clear maps and animated diagrams to explain the occurrence of deserts as well as desert features, rain shadow and people in the desert. I have previously used this presentation with the Colorado River unit as a living in a desert environment case study. Use with the Grasslands Environment and Rain shadow Differentiated Homework to extend the topic further. Assess learning and understanding using the Revise and Test presentations included.
