A Book for Parents and Teachers on the Christian Training of Children
This is one of the most valuable books ever written on the subject. Although a great preacher to adults, Spurgeon was not a whit less impressive as a minister to youth. He built an orphanage for boys and girls and they were happy attendants at the Tabernacle services. The converts were quite numerous. Spurgeon's own twin sons became notable preachers, emphasizing the influence of their father over the young. For many years this volume has been used in university and seminary classes for instruction on the training and conversion of children.
