The key concept of this book is to introduce four specific strategies that are practical, easy to learn, quick to perform (60-second each), and designed to help busy people become more effective-and happier-in the workplace and at home.
Grenough created the OASIS Strategies during her recovery from a near-death accident in the midst of her own high-velocity lifestyle. "Suddenly, and for months," she says, "I was thrust into a slow surreal pace of living. I knew that I needed to find some strategies to get myself back to health-but not back into the fast lane." Gradually she developed four simple strategies that have become her trademark as an executive coach, trainer, and clincial instructor in the Social Work of Psychiatry at Yale University.
"With four simple strategies to refresh your perceptions in an oasis of calm, Millie Grenough is offering nothing less than the opportunity and means to chang eyour life-for the better." David L. Katz, MD, Preventive Medicine Specialist, Advisor to O The Oprah Magazine
"There is practical and simple information available in this book to help retore you on your journey through life." Bernie Siegel, MD, author of Love, Medicine & Miracles and 365 Prescriptions for the Soul
