"Shiatsu Massage" is a combination of Shiatsu, (or acupressure applied with the fingers, palms and forearms ) traditional massage, stretches, and energy work. Using all these forms in one session, we encourage a rebalancing of the energy of the body as well as deep relaxation, improving both overall health and well being. Shiatsu, a form of acupressure, is a healing form based in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It s taught in Chinese Medicine, that by applying pressure along the "meridans" or energy channels of the body, blocked energy, or "chi" is released to the organ systems of the body. It is believed, that with the release and rebalancing of chi, the muscles relax, blood flow is improved and overall health can improve.
