Polyphenols and Breast Cancer
Dr. Chet’s Monthly Audio: Polyphenols and Breast Cancer
Polyphenols are a class of phytonutrients that have a protective effect in the body. Research has shown that they can reduce the risk of heart disease, hypertension, and cancer when eaten on a regular basis. This includes breast cancer. This audio will explain what polyphenols are, what foods they’re found in, and how they may work to reduce the risk of all cancers. It will also examine some studies that suggest that a specific class of polyphenols called isoflavones may not be beneficial. Isoflavones are beneficial and this audio will explain why.
