Lyme Disease, Chronic - Seminar
In this 30-minute video seminar, Professor Majid Ali, M.D. presents the causes, signs and symptoms, and clinical course of chronic Lyme disease, and describes laboratory diagnostic criteria. His four messages about chronic Lyme disease are: (1) it develops when acute Lyme disease is inadequately treated; (2) it is usually not eradicated only by antibiotic therapy in most cases , no matter how extensive; (3) it is perpetuated by fermentation in the colon, small intestine (SIBO state), stomach, and the oral cavity; and (4) it can be eradicated in nearly all cases by integrative therapies with bowel, blood, and liver detox and natural anti-fermentation therapies. Chronic Lyme disease, as explained in Prof. Ali’s companion seminar on acute Lyme disease, is caused by Lyme microbe (sprochete Borrelia Burgdorferi). sHe emphasizes the crucial importance of robust integrative treatment plan with a needed course of antibiotics, if necessary. Specifically, it is a serious mistake to limit treatment to the use of antibiotics and ignored oxygen therapies.
