The Spiral Foundation at OTA-Watertown
Alison Wheeland, OTS - Fieldwork Level II Student
This webinar will address the importance of assessing the personal experience of a person with autism for creating goals and treatment plans. I will discuss some of the methods that can be used to modify standardized assessments to be appropriate for lower-functioning clients, as well as the factors that need to be taken into consideration specifically for adolescents and adults.
By the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:
- Explain the importance of including low-functioning clients in the goal and treatment planning processes.
- Identify various ways to modify assessments for the needs of different types of clients.
- Apply a modification to an assessment in a case example.
An exam will be available at the end of the webinar for those who wish to earn extra clock hour credits.
