The Prophet Zechariah - Set 3
There are two Old Testament books that are a key to understanding the Revelation of Jesus Christ to Saint John on Patmos; the Book of the Prophet Daniel is the first and the Book of the Prophet Zechariah is the second. Many of the puzzling figures and symbols in the Revelation are first to be encountered in Zechariah.
Like other major writers in the Old and New Testaments, Zechariah can be divided into three sections as the writer speaks in one of three voices – the voice of history; the voice of the gospel of grace; and, the voice of judgment and an apocalyptic end of the age.
This third volume, Book III, completes the study of the first section of Zechariah and introduces Second or Hellenic Zechariah. Book III covers the Persian Period of Jewish Captivity, the returns from captivity, and introduces the Greeks. Consisting of four discs of nine tracks each, about seventy minutes of information and insight is provided per disc.
Originally prepared for radio presentation, the format and length of the tracks makes this ideal for re-presentation to Bible Study groups; it also makes an excellent addition to any individual theological library. The presentation is clear, precise, and to the point and is clarified by cross-reference to the Gospels and the Apocalypse of John.
